Flight Instruction

We offer anything from private pilot training all the way up to commercial flight training in your or one of our aircraft.  Learning to fly has never been easier.  Depending on your availability you could become a private pilot in as little as 3 weeks to 6 months.  Most of the ground school will be done in the comfort of your own home at your own pace through an online course.  The ground school will not have to be completed before taking flying lessons but should start no later then a few flights in.

Prerequisites:


  • Before any type of flight training the student will have to prove U.S. Citizenship.  This can be done by either presenting a U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate.  If you are not a U.S. Citizen the TSA will require you to go through a background check before starting flight training. The background application can be done at  www.flightschoolcandidates.gov.
  • Before soloing the student will need to be at least 16 years old and have obtained at least a third class medical/student pilot certificate.


Requirements:

The minimum required flight time to qualify for your check ride is 40 hours. 

The 40 hours will need to include at least:

  • 20 hours with a certified instructor.  
    • 3 hours of cross country training.
    • 3 hours of night training.
    • 3 hours of instrument training. 
  • 10 hours of solo time.
    • 3 take offs and landings solo at an airport with a control tower.
    • 5 hours of solo cross country. 


Estimated Cost:

The cost will be spread out over the course.  You pay as you go, meaning that once you complete a lesson you pay for just that lesson. Each lesson is typically $300 to $380.
